Small bandwidth, proxy caching and peering...

I’ve tried to optimized the squid cache in several ways… including modifying the default refresh_pattern into 5 minutes top for all object…

Peer the cache into several squid box (still in the same subnet)…

But it seams that it still take usable bandwidth and ignoring the client request to serve object only from the cache… no avail…

There’s seems to be something that I missed out here…

If you could just give me the enlightenment to where I should look upon in the config or else… I would like to share the thought… just leave me a comment… I will be very glad and as soon as possible reply you…

    wahh mas...napa y cumi ku jalannya..kyk perawan.
    pdhl bulan ini aja sdh puluhan X install ulang di compie Ntu... ceilehh.. berarti sdh jande X y..? dispointed :(
    Wlo agak menyimpang.. Met Ramadhan dan Idul fitri... Mohon Maaf Lahir dan Batin..

  • perlu test and trial lebih banyak ama tuh cumi... coba sering2 ajak nge-date... :D

    yang boleh jadi catatan adalah:
    * oprek tuh "refresh_pattern"
    * perhatikan skala total http request client
    * harus sering main2 di delay_pool buat limit streaming media (dalam kasus yang lagi trend skarang seperti youtube dkk-nyah)

    rekor terakhir box cumi-ku uptime selama kira2 7 bulan (karena proses upgrade kernel dan sekalian upgrade cumi) dan hit byte+request rata2 di 50-70%
